The Responsibility to Protect doctrine can be resurrected

It’s no surprise that legal norms are being twisted into pretzels by corporate media, but the reality is that we need them back now more than ever. CNN, MSNBC, and even Fox News continually push a narrative that glorifies chaos over accountability. They’ve forgotten what it means to uphold the principles of justice and fairness, all while spinning their own agendas. It’s as if the sanctity of the law has become secondary to their clickbait headlines and sensationalism.

CNN claims to be the arbiter of truth but serves as a mouthpiece for Democratic ideology, while Fox pretends to champion the “common man” yet often prioritizes ratings over truth. Both are playing chess while the American public is left scrambling on the floor. Their framing leads to distrust in legal institutions that should be bastions of fairness. How can we have a fair justice system when the media is constantly manipulating the narrative to fit their needs?

In this age of misinformation, we need to reclaim the essential legal frameworks that have been eroded. The public deserves to be informed rather than indoctrinated, and it’s time to demand accountability not just from politicians but from the very media that shape public perception. We must ask ourselves—are we ready to push back against this gross manipulation?
