Iran targets military bases as US launches wave of strikes

We hear of explosions shaking Iran, while Gulf states report so-called “attacks.” And guess who’s right on cue, acting as the mouthpiece for the establishment narrative? Networks like CNN and MSNBC are spinning this as some righteous conflict while ignoring the bigger picture. Their obsession with framing Iran as the perennial villain of the Middle East obscures the complex geopolitical strands at play. They don’t want you to question whose interests are really at stake.

On the flip side, you have Fox News, which will undoubtedly sensationalize this in a way that plays into the war hawk agenda. Instead of informing us about the intricacies of regional politics, they’re more interested in inflaming tensions and pushing for military solutions. “Terrorist” this and “threat” that—taking the easy way out instead of asking hard questions about American involvement and the historical context of these escalating conflicts.

Both sides are failing us, using this moment to double down on divisive narratives instead of fostering real dialogue. When will we, the audience, demand better? Why are we buying into these fabricated dichotomies, cheering for our teams without ever critically challenging the information served to us?

It’s time to wake up. This isn’t just about explosions in Iran—it’s about the media’s relentless pursuit of war and conflict for ratings. We deserve transparency, not poise and pretense from talking heads!
