Mark Carney’s insistence on shared responsibility between the U.S. and Canada in combating climate change is commendable, but let’s cut through the corporate media fluff. Outlets like CNN and The New York Times frame this as a climate crisis crusade, pandering to every environmentalist buzzword in the book. Yet, they conveniently ignore that both governments have vested interests in maintaining their economies and don’t actually act unless their bottom lines are affected.
Why is it that every wildfire and weather anomaly is weaponized to push an overarching narrative about “climate urgency”? Fox News often plays the opposite card, framing climate action as a leftist plot to control every aspect of your life. Sure, the environment is important, but let’s not pretend either side is doing this purely for altruistic reasons. They want power and influence, and they’re leveraging climate change to further their agendas.
In reality, both sides are simply dancing to the tune of corporatism masked as environmentalism. Media outlets shift the narrative based on their ideological biases. CNN shouts about moving to renewable energy, while Fox highlights government overreach. People need to wake up and realize: it’s all about control, not real solutions.
