Spain’s Prime Minister has labeled the mass influx of illegal migrants as an “attack” on its North African territories, pledging to return all unauthorized entrants back to Morocco. One has to wonder why this declaration isn’t the headline news across major outlets like CNN and MSNBC. Instead, these corporate media giants conveniently sidestep the real issues, pushing narratives that demonize countries like Spain for “lacking compassion,” while ignoring the sovereignty of nations facing a blatant disregard for their borders.

Isn’t it rich? We call out leaders for being tough on illegal migration, yet these very leaders are simply trying to uphold the law. You won’t hear much about that from the usual suspects. CNN propagates an emotional angle, portraying migrants as victims of circumstance, conveniently sidelining the legality of their actions. Fox News, on the other hand, tends to edge closer to the immigration enforcement angle but often lacks the deeper critique of governmental accountability. Where’s the middle ground? Where’s the unbiased reporting that captures the complexities of this crisis?

It’s time we demand better from our media. They’re not here to illuminate the truth; they’re here to peddle outrage and manipulate emotions. When Spain asserts its right to protect its territory, that should be a rallying cry for all nations wanting to maintain their borders—not a point of ridicule masked as humanitarian concern.
