Palestinian children among those detained in Israeli West Bank raids

Settler violence in regions like Ramallah, Hebron, and Nablus is skyrocketing, yet you wouldn’t know it if you only tuned into CNN or MSNBC. These networks tiptoe around the truth, preferring to present a soft-focus version of the chaos. Instead of delivering hard-hitting coverage, they serve up lukewarm reports that practically excuse this violence as just a byproduct of a complicated situation. When you dig deeper, the real story is one of unchecked aggression and escalating illegal outposts, and yet, corporate media would rather peddle a narrative designed to pacify rather than inform.

Now, flip the channel over to Fox News. While they do touch on these events, their framing often swings into anti-Palestinian propaganda, portraying settlers as heroic figures engaging in self-defense rather than the aggressors they truly are. This blatant manipulation of facts serves only to deepen divides and incite further aggression, rather than encouraging dialogue or resolution.

It’s high time we demand more from our media outlets. The agenda is clear: keep the masses divided and distracted. Whether it’s the white-washed narratives in liberal media or the incendiary rhetoric from right-wing networks, both sides are missing the mark. Real journalism should hold a mirror to these violent actions without spinning an agenda. We need clarity, not comfort.
