Instead of properly holding the perpetrator accountable and shining the spotlight on safety for women in public spaces, they prefer to push their narrative about societal breakdown. It’s a disservice to the victims that, shockingly, is all too common in today’s corporate media.
Fox News may not be immune either; they’re often quick to sensationalize crime stories for ratings. But if they truly cared about women’s issues, they’d hammer home the importance of protecting privacy in establishments that boast ‘judgment-free zones.’ Instead, expect them to focus on the juicy bits without diving deep into systemic failures that let incidents like this slide.
Let’s face it: both sides of the media spectrum—and their relentless narratives—cater to their echo chambers while neglecting the real issues at stake. When will they get that women deserve to feel safe, not just in fitness centers but in everyday life? We need discussions that focus on prevention and genuine accountability, not on generating clickable headlines or further perpetuating divisive ideologies.
