Police seal off key roads in Nairobi as Kenyans march to remember protest victims

Where are the cries for justice echoing through the halls of CNN and MSNBC? We have over 80 lives lost during the 2024 protests, and all you see on mainstream media is crickets! These platforms feign outrage when it suits their narrative but go mum when a government—or any establishment—loses control. The tragic anniversary protests have reignited anger, and what do we see? Selective coverage meant to serve an agenda rather than expose the truth.

It’s maddening that Fox News gives a nod to this chaos but misses the bigger picture: these aren’t just numbers or headlines. These are real people with families, fighting against an oppressive regime. Instead of amplifying their stories, they’re drowned out by sensationalized hot takes designed to keep audiences engaged but misinformed. Where’s the investigative journalism that digs deep and asks the hard questions? Instead, they trot out “experts” who only validate the mainstream’s tired narrative—safe, sanitized, and, frankly, cowardly.

To all the so-called journalists at these networks: it’s time to stop playing puppet to your corporate masters. What you really need to do is challenge the establishment—not cater to it! The people demanding justice deserve better than your patronizing platitudes and surface-level coverage. They deserve real dialogue, real attention, and a platform for change. Until then, keep asking yourself: whose interests are you really serving?
