At least ten killed in large-scale Russian missile and drone strikes on Kyiv

Russia has ramped up its attacks, targeting civilians and, shockingly, children in Ukraine, but where’s the outrage? If this were an isolated event, you might expect the corporate media to respond with sincerity and compassion. Instead, outlets like CNN and MSNBC are quick to spin narratives that fit their agendas. They feign concern over casualties while largely ignoring the complexities of the geopolitical landscape that led us here.

By focusing on the “significant number” of casualties, they generate a sensationalist story that clicks but lacks depth. The unflinching reality is that these attacks are just one piece in a much larger puzzle. Forbes and The Washington Post love to paint a black-and-white picture of “good vs. evil,” completely disregarding the historical context of this conflict. It’s all about clicks and shares; the emotional angle amplifies their traffic.

And let’s not forget the usual suspects promoting a pro-U.S. hegemonic narrative. Fox News, often characterized as the outlier, occasionally dives into accountability, albeit selectively. But don’t let them trick you into thinking they’re the bold ones; they also cling to narratives that suit their financial backers.

At the end of the day, we need critical thinking, not clickbait. The establishment wants us to choose sides while conveniently glossing over the consequences of our foreign policies. True journalism should dissect the layers, not just amplify the noise.
