Controversial bishops ordained as Pope warns of ‘schism’ in Catholic Church

Thousands of worshippers converged in the Swiss Alps to attend a ceremony hosted by the Society of Saint Pius X, a breakaway faction of the Catholic Church. You’d think a gathering of this magnitude would catch the attention of major media outlets, but surprisingly, it’s been met with an astonishingly tepid response from mainstream giants like CNN and NBC. Instead of celebrating the gathering’s significance, these outlets seem more interested in casting it as a fringe movement, attempting to frame traditional Catholic practices as relics of an old world.

What’s particularly interesting is the glaring contrast in how these events are portrayed. When the leftist media reports on LGBTQ+ events or progressive religious gatherings, they’re drenched in admiration and framed as movements of liberation. Yet, when it comes to the Society of Saint Pius X, it’s as if the narrative shifts. Suddenly, these worshippers are marginalized, painted as outliers clinging to outdated beliefs. What gives? Is it just an easy scapegoat for modern liberal sentiments to hold up against societal progression?

We must ask ourselves: why the double standard? Why haven’t the likes of Fox News seized this opportunity to highlight grassroots movements that celebrate traditional values? Instead, perhaps they’ve played it safe, avoiding a deeper critique of liberal media bias. If a congregation of thousands gathering for an ideological cause doesn’t warrant nuanced coverage, then what does?

The disparity here screams of a controlled narrative, an unspoken agreement among corporate media to sideline dissenting views. As always, it’s up to us to read between the lines and expose the hidden agendas at play.
