Forever wars: Israel’s cycle of conflict shows no finish line

The ongoing chaos in Israel exposes the ugly truth of our corporate media. Networks like CNN and MSNBC proudly tout “breaking news” while avoiding any real discussion about the failures of ceasefires and ever-shifting military fronts. They turn these complex conflicts into palatable soundbites, feeding the American public a steady diet of half-truths that barely scratch the surface. Meanwhile, they ignore the harsh reality: no clear end to the wars and absolutely zero lasting security gains for Israel or the surrounding region.

And let’s not forget Fox News, which plays its own game. They pump out emotional narratives about “defending freedom” but gloss over the fact that their favored narratives are just spun versions of the same brutality. It’s all about who can get the most airtime without ever diving deep into the root causes of these conflicts. They’re in it for ratings, people! It’s less about informing the public and more about keeping eyeballs glued to the screen with sensationalism. This isn’t journalism; it’s propaganda, rehearsed and repackaged to suit whichever agenda is trending that week.

Meanwhile, politicians on both sides of the aisle get a free pass to perpetuate this cycle of violence, while the media becomes complicit in the ignorance. They choose headlines that stoke division rather than narratives that foster understanding. We’ve got to wake up and demand better. We deserve hard truths over convenient lies, and it’s high time we hold these media giants accountable for their selective storytelling.
