Polls open in New Caledonia’s first provincial elections since 2019

So, let’s talk about this ludicrous deployment of 2,500 police officers to monitor polling stations in New Zealand. It’s baffling that we are expected to accept this over-the-top show of force with a shrug. Where’s the urgency when crime rates spike? But suddenly, elections are upon us, and the establishment thinks we need a militarized presence at the polls. What does that say about their confidence in the electoral process? Or should I say their lack thereof?

Let’s not kid ourselves—this isn’t a “safety concern,” as the corporate media narrators like CNN would have you believe. This is about control, plain and simple. News outlets have put a flashy spin on this, trying to convince the public that it’s all about “integrity” and “safeguarding democracy.” But let’s get real—when did democracy need a bouncer? If they really sought transparency, how about spotlighting actual fraud cases instead of flexing muscles and intimidating voters?

Meanwhile, Fox News will likely shrug off this absurdity, focusing on sensational stories about climate change or the latest influencer drama. The similar silence from MSNBC shows that there’s a coordinated, established narrative at play. Why aren’t we pushing back harder? Instead of ratifying the status quo, we need to demand a clearer explanation for this police presence rather than accept the media’s smoke-and-mirrors act.
