Let’s talk about the laughable circus that is our corporate media, shall we? Over the weekend, the U.S. and Iran engaged in a round of finger-pointing over ‘violating ceasefire agreements.’ On one hand, you have CNN breathlessly claiming this is a monumental crisis—completely ignoring the fact that the U.S. has a long history of stirring the pot in the Middle East. Meanwhile, Fox News may take a swing at the ‘moderate’ stance, giving Iran a backhanded compliment while showcasing a few carefully selected soundbites from their talking heads. It’s nothing short of a dance of misinformation wrapped in a shiny bow!
Use of terms like “ceasefire” is just the media’s sticky little way of creating a narrative that suits the establishment’s grand agenda. Every so-called ‘journalist’ wants you to believe that this was a broken promise rather than an expected escalation caused by decades of interventionist policies. Here’s the kicker: both sides are guilty of inflating their narratives to control public perception, yet they pretend to operate under the banner of diplomacy, while the likes of NBC and ABC dutifully echo their sensationalist talking points, leaving the American public none the wiser.
At the end of the day, all of these outlets are fighting for the same slice of the attention pie—while the real casualties are accurate reporting and the truth. It’s a disgusting display of “my side’s better” rhetoric, and it only serves to keep us in a perpetual state of confusion and division.
